Leading tactile signs are intended to guide the blind and visually impaired and they replace the lead edge in places where it is interrupted or cannot be installed (crossroads, squares, etc.). They are made of ribbed markings running in straight line, making the ribs the uninterrupted direction for walking. The leading line gaps between ribs (i.e. for drainage) cannot be more than 2 cm wide.

The leading tactile sign must be at least 60 cm away from the road or other traffic surfaces (i.e. bike lanes, dangerous areas, railway platforms, etc.). It must also be 60 cm away from all other obstacles (flower beds, traffic signs, billboards, bicycle racks, restaurant gardens, etc.)

All our tactile signs are in accordance with SIST 1186.
