Contrast and visual accessibility
Visual accessibility is intended for visually impaired people, the elderly, and all users with reduced spatial perception. It is based on clear colour and light contrasts that allow the recognition of edges, paths and functional elements.
Contrasting elements are used in:
- stairs and ramps,
- doors and entrances,
- movement paths and obstacles.
Their use is defined in accessibility standards and is not a matter of design choice, but a functional requirement.
